Is there a Gracie Barra in Sparks, Nevada?

At the present time, there is not a Gracie Barra here.

However, we do train Gi and have direct lineage to Gracie Jiu Jitsu. We also have an online syllabus and a network of 60+ gyms worldwide.

Coach Raymond Price, who is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, recently went to visit Master Rickson Gracie due to SBG’s affiliation with the Gracie Jiu Jitsu Global Federation and SBG’s close history with Rickson Gracie. Raymond’s coach Matt Thornton earned his blue belt under Rickson Gracie, as did a number of other SBG black belts, including 5th degree John Frankl.

Unfortunately due to the untimely passing of Rickson’s son Rockson, Rickson returned to Brazil. However, when Rickson relaunched his federation, SBG were founding members. This culminated in a seminar at SBG Portland, Global Headquarters, with approximately 200 people coming from around the world to learn from Master Rickson, said by many to be the greatest Jiu Jitsu practioner of all-time.

Students from Gracie Barra who are travelling are more than welcome to enquire about training with us and we always enjoy learning from them and sharing ideas and concepts.
